The ALPINA XB7 is a distinctive expression of BMW's flagship three-row SUV, engineered for remarkable speed without giving up long-distance luxury. Skyscraper Grey Metallic highlights its ALPINA-specific front apron, rear diffuser and quad exhaust outlets. The imposing 23-inch ALPINA Classic CS16 wheels, illuminated kidney grille, Crystal Headlights and Shadowline detailing make this much more than a conventional X7.

Its ALPINA-tuned 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 produces 631 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, supported by 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. An 8-speed ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC Sport Automatic Transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive deliver effortless acceleration. Edmunds recorded a 3.9-second 0-60 mph run in its 2024 XB7 test, noting the extraordinary performance and grand-touring comfort of this full-size luxury SUV.

ALPINA sport suspension, two-axle air suspension with Active Comfort Drive and Road Preview, Active Roll Stabilization, Integral Active Steering and an M Sport Differential give this SUV sophisticated control. Exclusive ALPINA calibration is designed to balance responsive handling with the composed ride expected of an executive grand tourer. An M Sport exhaust system contributes a fitting V8 soundtrack.

Inside, Black Full Merino Leather ($1,500), ALPINA Walnut Nature Black trim and an Anthracite Alcantara headliner create a richly appointed cabin. The front multi-contour seats are heated, ventilated and massaging, with memory settings for driver and passenger. Heated front armrests, heated steering wheel, five-zone climate control, soft-close doors and Glass Controls emphasize flagship comfort. The Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof gives the cabin an especially memorable atmosphere at night.

This example has the $850 second-row captain's chairs, creating a six-passenger arrangement with easier access between the middle seats. Heated second-row seats, electric rear side-window shades, cooled cupholders and the Travel and Comfort System add thoughtful details for passengers.

The $3,400 Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System is a major audio highlight. BMW Curved Display with Live Cockpit Pro, Head-Up Display, navigation, Gesture Control, wireless charging and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility provide modern connectivity and control.

Driving Assistance Professional includes Highway Assistant for supported hands-free operation on compatible highways when conditions allow, along with adaptive cruise control and Active Driving Assistant Pro. Parking Assistant Professional supplies automated parking support, while Surround View with 3D View provides multiple camera perspectives.

Original factory options total $5,750 before destination: Full Merino Leather, captain's chairs and Bowers & Wilkins audio. Original MSRP was $156,145 including destination.
